Brandon MacDonald

Senior Vice President, Construction Materials

As the Senior Vice President for Construction Materials in the Atlantic Region, Brandon brings over 27 years of industry experience to the team. In this role, Brandon works to promote GIP and expand our construction materials business in key geographic and market sectors while also helping to foster a growing focus on positive Indigenous relationships.

Having held a variety of roles in the construction industry, including CEO of a heavy civil construction firm, Director of Highway Design and Construction for Newfoundland and Labrador and City Engineer for a municipality, Brandon has developed an acute awareness of the challenges that exist in both owning and building public and private infrastructure.

Brandon is a licensed professional engineer holding a degree in civil engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has volunteered his time on the boards of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (Civil Chair), the Canadian Technical Asphalt Association (President) and the asphalt user producer group of the Heavy Civil Association of Newfoundland and Labrador. In addition, he is a past member of the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) national standing committee for geometric design of highways.
